"Old Tavern Stand five miles east of Grantsville... On the eastern approach to Red Ridge. Here were the renown 'Shades of Death'..." Lacock/Weller photo, 1908. This building was on the right side of the road at the bottom of the hill. It later became the Turner residence and dairy.
